Quick and Easy Tips For Nail Polish Addicts On a budget
Hey its polishaddict and today I have some tips for those of you are on a budget.
1. Try different brands and see what you like best. Just because your friend or a blogger likes one brand doesn't mean that you will too.
2. Look for nail polish dupes. Many companies dupe (copy) colors of more expensive brands. For example the popular Happy Birthday by Deporah Lipman ($28) has at least five dupes.
3. Save up. If brand matters alot to you, just save up and by less nail polish. But remember unlike purses or clothes people cant tell if you have a dupe on or not.
4. Look for sales. Some places have sales like buy one get one 50% of or markdowns. Ulta has a buy one get one fifty percent of or 2 for twelve all year round.
5. Be aware. Make sure your polish is DBP free. Also try to make sure your nail polish is toluene free
6. Figure out if you are warm or cool skin tone. Once you figure that out just find polishes that are your tone. This will get rid of 50% of nail polish on the market and make sure you don't waste money on a nail lacquer that won't suit you.

Haul/Update
Hi guys! Its polishaddict and i'm really excited for todays short and sweet post. So my haul is OPI's NYC Ballet Petites! I know it's a bit late to get these but I wasn't planing on getting them until later. Plus since my Ulta had stopped caring them it was only $10.75( compared to $12.50 without tax)! So the posts to follow will include swatches and review on the collection, a review on OPI polishes, and soon OPI's best of the best collection! And I also bought three nail polish dupes for Deborah Lipman, China Glaze, and Zoya.

DIY quick easy dog treat
Hi guys its polishaddict!
So today I was looking around for a homemade dog treat recipe for my dog and I stumbled around a few frozen treat recipe. My dog has had some store bought versions of this but who knew what was in there. Unfortunately I didn't have all the ingredients for most recipes and decided to create my own. Since i've been lately hearing about blind dogs i got worried about my dog so I decided to use carrots. (My dog thank fully loves carrot) The other ingredients you'll need are yogurt, ice,and water. Note that yogurt is best if organic or home made(i can post a recipe on this if wanted) and MUST NOT be flavored. Low-fat yogurt is best for over weight dogs.
Ingredients
Directions
For making cup
Cut of top half (if you would like to use this more than once and as smaller portions use ice trays instead)
For making mixture
Step one: Cut up carrot and toss into blender
Step two: Add spoon of yogurt
Step three: Add ice and water, then blend
Step four: pour liquid mixture into ice trays or cup and freeze

China Glaze Fairy Dust Dupe
Hey guys its polishaddict!
Okay so for those of you who don't want to read a lot on this dupe i'll just tell you the dupe right now- Wet n Wild wild shine's hallucinate. Both are fine glitters and are a must have. Since they're exact dupes and Hallucinate is only 97 cents the obvious choice for me is Hallucinate. Both apply nicely and neither separate! Fairy dust has .5 oz while Hallucinate has .45 oz. But you could just buy two of Hallucinate and have a subtotal of $2 compared to fairy dusts $7 - $8. So like I said i would defentily go toward Hallucinate.

cupcakelover3000 intro
Hey you guys!
Cupcakelover3000 here: Bringing you the yummiest ways to bake cakes! Now I hope you all know that I will help with the nail stuff and music stuff and other stuff, but it is my responsibility to bring you fun and fun and fun!!! I will show you how to decorate cupcakes, bake cake pops (with and without a mold) and make the most delicious cookies from a recipe I got from my mom. And the best part is: most of this is mainly by video (cuz just typing is BORING)!!! But seriously after seeing my recipes and decorating tips, you will learn that baking isn't just something you do to entertain yourself, but it's a fun and loving hobby and activity that you could include your whole family in: not only to eat, but to bake too!

OPI princess rule VS Confetti dreamdate
Hey! its polishaddict,
How many of you love OPI but just can't afford to pay $8.50 or more per bottle? Well if you can't you will love this series, were I give you Confetti nail polish dupes! Today's dupe is Confetti's dreamdate a exact dupe for OPI's princess rule.The color is a your nails but better color. Both are very sheer light pink and are perfect for any work place or school. Although both are build able they take five plus coats to match the bottle. Dreamdate also can be layered on top of other polishes and give a rose gold tint. If you prefer wide brushes over skinny brushes don't worry! Confetti brushes can fan out (apply tiny bit of presser) or they can remain skinny if preferred. Confetti polishes cost $1.99 a pop verses OPI for $8.50. However OPI is available at drugstores but the best place to get these polishes is at a beauty store for a wide selection. Confetti is only available at CVS, but is always stocked up. A word of warring is to check Confetti brushes because sometimes they have defective brushes, but CVS will let you return it if you haven't, but I just check the brushes in store. Confetti polishes also contian less product than OPI products. Confetti = 3.7 oz OPI = .5 oz My final verdict however is that I would buy the Confetti "Dreamdate" polish over the OPI "Princess Rule".

Chocolate Face Mask
Hey, its polishaddict!
Today since i'm in the mood for chocolate and sweet stuff I decided to post a chocolate face mask recipe! I learned this recipe from bubzbeauty on Youtube. I recommend checking out the video for more in-depth talk about what the ingredients do. I sometimes like to add a bit of aloe if I have very dry skin to amp up the hydration.The coco powder will hydrate the skin and honey is age defying. Yogurt does a whole bunch of good stuff like hydrate your skin. The mask is a great acne preventer. Out of almost all my diy masks (i've made tons) this one is my favorite! And yes, it tastes great. :)
Materials
Just mix the coco powder and yogurt and then add in the honey!

So like I said a few posts back I would do DIY exfolters and here is the first one!
Materials:
1.lemon - one teaspoon
2. sugar (white) - one teaspoon
3. extra virign olive oil - one teaspoon
( note: you can change the recipe as you would prefer)
Directions - mix all of it up and store away!
See how simple that was? Plus this stuff if amazing! Stay tuned for more recipes!

Exfoliation - tips, tricks, and recipes
Hey! It's polishaddict!
Today's post is about exfoliation - wait what does that have to do with polish? Well if you don't exfoliate your hands and feet you may be left with dead cuticles and rough skin that will ruin the look of your perfect manicure or pedicure. But hands and feet aren't the only things that did exfoliating, the face and lip need to be exfoliated to.
WHEN TO EXFOLIATE
Once a week, at the least.
DO YOU REALLY NEED TO USE EXPENSIVE PRODUCTS TO EXFOLIATE?
No! I will be showing you in exfoliation series how to make your own exfoliators that work just as well.
Tip #1 - On your lips you can use a clean toothbrush dipped in Vaseline or petroleum jelly to exfoliate them. Think of it as brushing your lips! This is not my favorite way of exfoliating, however, its perfect for doing on the go.
Tip #2 - Always use a lip balm after exfoliating lips or use a moisturizer for skin.
